Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur Specialties at Hudson Yards

All the delicious foods you need to usher in a sweet new year are available at Hudson Yards.

This year, September hosts both Jewish High Holy Days: Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown on the 15th, Yom Kippur on the 24th. If you are planning to entertain family or have been invited to someone else’s holiday meal, Hudson Yards has what you need.

For Rosh Hashanah, Russ & Daughters, the iconic New York deli located on 10th Avenue at 35th Street, has you covered from appetizer to dessert. Stock up on gefilte fish, chopped liver, potato or noodle kugel, matzo ball soup, tsimmes, challah, babka, honey cake and halvah.

Magnolia Bakery is selling its own special honey cake for the occasion, and there are latkes and other holiday specialties available for takeout from Miznon, the Israeli street food eatery on Level 4.

Don’t hesitate to ask the oenophiles at ANA Wine & Spirits (on Street Level) to recommend the perfect wine for the feast.

If Yom Kippur’s break fast will be at your house, look no further than Russ & Daughters. The best spread in town includes smoked and cured salmon, smoked sable and whitefish, herring, smoked fish salads and bagels.
