Hudson Yards Launches Free Outdoor Summer Concert Series With The Bowery Presents

New York City (April 27, 2022) – Hudson Yards today unveiled its 2022 programming for Backyard at Hudson Yards presented by Wells Fargo, the ultimate outdoor entertainment destination for the whole family beginning May 5th. For the first time, Backyard at Hudson Yards will host a 10-week concert series programmed by The Bowery Presents featuring today’s emerging artists.

Summer Concerts at the Wells Fargo Stage will be joined by Backyard’s most popular programing from past years including: live sports tournaments on the 30-foot Big Screen; fun-filled kids programming and classes by CAMP and Union Square Play; fitness classes by SoulCycle; a multitude of outdoor dining options with a rotating selection of food trucks, as well as JIBS, the marina bar and lobster shack in the heart of Manhattan that became one of the City’s hottest tables last season; a series of outdoor movie screenings to close out the season; and more.

Summer Concerts at the Wells Fargo Stage
Hudson Yards will host a new series of FREE, live outdoor concerts programmed by The Bowery Presents every Wednesday at 6pm for 10 weeks from June 1st to August 3rd in the Public Square & Gardens. Artist line-up to be announced.

The Big Screen
Games, series and tournaments will be played on the 30-foot Big Screen featuring the most watched international sporting events including Tennis Grand Slam Championship Majors, Golf Majors, Basketball Playoffs, Hockey Playoffs and cycling events. The Wells Fargo Championship will launch on The Big Screen from May 5th through May 8th.

Screenings are free for all visitors and seating is open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis.

Backyard Bites
Enjoy outdoor dining at JIBS, the New England-style lobster shack open daily, or choose from a rotating selection of local favorite food trucks, which will also be available daily.

Family Fun
Union Square Play is returning this August with a one-of-a-kind, immersive play experience in a fully outfitted outdoor yurt. Children aged 0-5 will be transported into a world of play in this ticketed class designed by Jennie Monness.

Power Hour
Work up a sweat at SoulCycle outside, where riders can take a signature class.

Movie Nights
Blockbusters on The Big Screen will return Thursdays in the Fall beginning September 15th. Full film line-up to be announced later this year.
