Tory Burch at Home: One Fashionable Banana Bread Recipe

These days the designer is doing what the rest of us are—sheltering in place and baking her favorite comfort food.

Fashion powerhouse Tory Burch has been quite busy during the quarantine: She’s taking 6am walks, helping female entrepreneurs navigate financial challenges in the wake of COVID-19, donating $5 million in products to healthcare workers and baking banana bread. (That last one with a little help from her four-legged sous chef, Slim.) With Mother’s Day around the corner, she’s sharing her go-to recipe, in case you’re able to share a treat with yours. If you can’t this year, there’s always “FaceTime calls, flower deliveries (real or virtual), and video brunch dates.” Featuring banana bread, of course.

TORY’S BANANA BREAD

INGREDIENTS:
  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 2 eggs 1¾ cups flour
  • 1½ cups sugar

  2. In large bowl, combine oil, eggs, sugar, milk, vanilla, and mashed bananas.
  3. Add baking soda and flour; combine well for 2 to 3 minutes.
  4. Pour batter into pan and bake for 80 minutes.

And, if your mom—or any other woman in your life—is a small business owner in need of resources, the Tory Burch Foundation website is providing step-by-step guides and webinars.
