The Hudson Yards Dining Collection Unveils Names and Details of Restaurant Concepts from ThinkFoodGroup, Momofuku, rhubarb and estiatorio Milos Names Sweet Additions William Greenberg Desserts, Li-Lac Chocolate and Dylan’s Candy Bar

NEW YORY, NY – February 6, 2019 – Hudson Yards today announces the names of highly anticipated restaurant concepts in the dining collection: Mercado Little Spain’s three full-service restaurants Leña, Mar and Spanish Diner; Kāwi and Peach Mart from Momofuku; and Wild ink from rhubarb hospitality. The renowned estiatorio Milos will also introduce a Greek wine bar concept to be located on the first level of its bi-level restaurant. These restaurants will be joined by outposts of New York confectioners William Greenberg Desserts, Li-Lac Chocolates and Dylan’s Candy Bar. The latest additions to the Hudson Yards Dining Collection join an esteemed group of approximately 25 restaurants and food concepts that also includes Belcampo, Citarella Hudson Yards, Hudson Yards Grill, TAK Room from Thomas Keller Restaurant Group, Queensyard from UK-based D&D London, Blue Bottle Coffee, Bluestone Lane, Bouchon Café, The Drug Store, Fuku, Jack’s Stir Brew, Shake Shack, Van Leeuwen and more. The Dining Collection, co-curated by Chef Thomas Keller and Related Urban President and CEO and restaurateur Kenneth A. Himmel, will open alongside the broader neighborhood on March 15, 2019.

“Restaurants are the soul of a neighborhood where people gather with friends and family, celebrate life’s milestones, start their day with a cup of coffee, or relax after a day of work,” said Kenneth A. Himmel, restaurateur and President and CEO of Related Urban, the mixed-use division of Related Companies. “The collection of restaurants at Hudson Yards was curated to meet the varied dining needs of the residents, employees and visitors who will share our exceptional culinary experiences.”

At the forthcoming Mercado Little Spain, Chef José Andrés will introduce three distinctive, full-service restaurants: Leña, dedicated to paellas and grilled meats and an ode to live fire cooking; Mar, devoted to the bounty of fish and seafood imported from Spain; and Spanish Diner, an all-day, casual gathering place to start the day with eggs a la Cubano or revueltos, stop by for a selection of platos combinados at lunch, or unwind with friends over a cerveza while watching a soccer match. In addition to the restaurants, Mercado Little Spain will house two bars, one devoted to cocktails and another to Spanish wines, and 15 kiosks serving a wide selection of tapas. Mercado Little Spain will span 35,000 square feet located at the ground level at 10 Hudson Yards.

Kāwi will be the name of the new 5,000-square-foot restaurant from Momofuku, located on the fifth level of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards. Kāwi is a reflection of Executive Chef Eunjo “Jo” Park’s past experiences, which include cooking at Ko, Daniel, and Per Se in New York, and Gaon and Chunjinam Hermitage at Baegyansa Temple in Korea. In addition to Kāwi, Momofuku will open takeaway concept, Peach Mart, next door, offering sandwiches, kimbap and other snacks.

Also on the fifth level of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards, London hospitality group rhubarb announces Wild ink. Newly appointed executive chef Peter Jin, who has extensive experience running restaurants in Hong Kong (U-Hang, Blackbird Group) and New York (Refinery Hotel, Hotel 50 Bowery), will be at the helm of Wild ink, working with a team of NYC chefs. Charles Lopez previously of Skylark and Payard, will bring life to the front of house as General Manager. The concept is inspired by a chef’s travel journal – a book where recipes and ideas are jotted down and cultures collide to create original and inventive dishes.

estiatorio Milos, known as one of the finest Mediterranean seafood restaurants in the world, will have a bi-level restaurant located on the fifth and sixth levels of The Shops & Restaurants at Hudson Yards. The fifth level will be home to Milos wine bar, a new expression of the timeless brand featuring hand-selected Greek wines, exclusively and artfully paired with signature small plate, shareable cuisine. During the day, a Real Greek Yogurt bar, freshly made food, coffee, and pastries will be available to enjoy onsite or to go. A limited selection of Milos private label packaged ingredients such as olive oil, honey and sea salt will also be available for purchase. The sixth level will offer the traditional experience of the beloved Milos establishments found throughout the world, boasting an outdoor terrace with sweeping views of Hudson Yards.

“I’ve dedicated much of my heart and energy toward sharing Greek cuisine with the world. With the opening of Milos at Hudson Yards, and our Greek wine bar, I aspire to share Greece’s unique and beautiful wines with our guests. I anticipate they will enjoy learning about them as much as they do our food,” said Chef and Restaurateur Costas Spiliadis.

Additionally, outposts of New York confectioners and bakeries William Greenberg Desserts, Li-Lac Chocolates and Dylan’s Candy Bar will join the dining collection at Hudson Yards, offering adored candies, chocolates and baked goods alongside products and experiences that will only be available at these locations. William Greenberg Desserts, a New York institution, will offer guests sandwiches and breads for the first time, in addition to their long-standing baked goods including brownies, schnecken, fruit tarts and their famous black and white cookies. William Greenberg Dessert’s intimate 500-square-foot space on the third level was designed by Landow and Landow, the same architects behind the flagship store on Madison Avenue. The space will have a fresh look while maintaining legacy elements. Li-Lac Chocolates, known as Manhattan’s oldest chocolate house, will offer more than 100 fresh chocolate items, all of which are handmade at their factory in Industry City, Brooklyn. The 600-square-foot space on the fourth level will have a chocolate tempering wheel onsite to share a first-hand look at the process and will be producing a limited line of dairy-free chocolate from this location. Nearby on the fourth level will also be a 1,500-square-foot outpost of Dylan’s Candy Bar.

Many of the offerings of the Hudson Yards dining collection will be housed in the one-million-square-foot Shops & Restaurants, anchored by New York City’s first Neiman Marcus. The expanded dining collection throughout the 28-acre neighborhood will also include establishments at 35 Hudson Yards and 50 Hudson Yards. Additional cafés and fast-casual selections will be available at 10 Hudson Yards, 50 Hudson Yards and 55 Hudson Yards, offering a wide array of options to those who live, work and visit the neighborhood. The hand-selected group offers a variety of cuisines and experiences, offering fast casual to fine dining from the early morning hours to late into the evening, catering to the distinct needs of building a full-service neighborhood.
