Hudson Yards and The We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM) Partner to Support Local Non-Profit Organizations That Change Lives Through “The Power Of Music”

Hudson Yards Commits $50,000 To Kick-Off Year-Long Neighborhood-wide Fundraising Campaign to Benefit Local Music Nonprofits Focusing on Education, Health & Wellness, and Underserved Communities

NEW YORK (February 2, 2021) - Hudson Yards announced today a partnership with the We Are All Music Foundation (WAAM), a non-profit organization dedicated to providing meaningful support to the most impactful organizations that utilize the power of music to change people’s lives, particularly in underserved communities and in the education and health and wellness sectors. As part of the partnership, Hudson Yards has committed $50,000 toward a year-long fundraising campaign that will elevate WAAM’s mission in New York City.

In 2021, WAAM and Hudson Yards will celebrate the partnership with a series of FREE LIVE music performances throughout the neighborhood that spotlight some of the diverse organizations that are affecting positive change through the power of music.

For every additional $25,000 raised by Hudson Yards, WAAM will engage and support an additional local non-profit, and mark the milestone with another live musical performance offering the entire West Side community an opportunity to come together while continuing to raise awareness for WAAM’s mission.

“From its inception, Hudson Yards was envisioned as a new center for culture, art, music and community, dedicated to advancing new artistic voices and mediums. Last year, we saw first-hand the power music has to help people through difficult times, and are proud to partner with the We Are All Music Foundation to promote organizations that use the universal language of music to help others in innovative ways,” said Stacey Feder, Chief Marketing Officer of Hudson Yards.

“We are so proud to partner with Hudson Yards on this philanthropic endeavor,” said Mary Crawford, Managing Director, We Are All Music Foundation. “If there was ever an ideal time to spread the healing power of music…it’s now. This partnership provides the perfect platform for WAAM to spotlight the diverse musical genres that are affecting positive change through the power of music in a COVID safe and socially distanced environment.”

Additional safety protocols include: increased, rigorous cleaning procedures; temperature screenings and timed tickets at Edge with staggered arrival to minimize queues; floor markings throughout to encourage social distancing; touch-less elevators operating at reduced capacities; and more.
