A true New York native, Chef Michael Lomonaco has cooked at some of the city’s most celebrated venues, including Windows on the World, Wild Blue and Gustavino’s.
He opened the award-winning Porter House Bar and Grill at The Shops at Columbus Circle in 2007, followed by Center Bar, the soaring 4th-floor destination bar that overlooks Central Park South. But the best is yet to come – because Chef Lomonaco’s next venture is an ode to the American kitchen – a casual, comfortable restaurant built around an open exhibition kitchen, with a superb bar to meet and greet over classic cocktails.
The energy of New York is really the people. Diners keep restaurants moving forward. In this way, we’re going to discover together with our guests what Hudson Yards really means.
Approachable menus. Great ingredients. New twists on classic American fare, cooked one dish at a time. Chef Lomonaco’s career celebrates the bounty of the American table.
Coupled with his reputation as New York’s favorite host, this new project at Hudson Yards is meant as both a neighborhood restaurant where New Yorkers can return again and again, as well as a must-visit dining destination for international travelers.
Chef Lomonaco joins an inspired band of like-minded restaurateurs at Hudson Yards to create a distinguished collection of dining experiences that will redefine how New Yorkers think of dining out.
What I love to do is welcome people – the hospitality; the warmth; the greeting. It’s about making them feel special, one person at a time.
