The best time of the day—aka Happy Hour—is back and better than ever at The Shops & Restaurants. So grab some friends or colleagues and grab a cocktail or two at any of Hudson Yards’ prime spots. Can’t decide where to start? Here’s a little guidance.
Queensyard’s Martini Mondays, which start at 5pm, feature three takes on the classic sipper: the Queen’s Gambit (Hendrick's Orbium Gin, dry vermouth, lemon); Harajuku Style (Hendrick's Lunar Gin, UME Plum Liqueur, lychee); and a New York Minute (Hendrick's Gin, dry vermouth, olive). Can’t decide? A mini-Martini flight is $15.
Swing by Jibs, the just-opened, New England-style seafood shack with glorious views of the Hudson and order a Ride Like the Wind, made with Casamigos tequila, pineapple juice, jalapeño and cinnamon. Tequila not your thing? Try a What a Fool Believes—Tito’s Vodka, St. Germain elderflower liqueur, butterfly pea flower tea and prosecco.
At Peak, the bartenders will happily swap out the Dorothy Parker Gin in their garden-inspired Bees Knees for the non-alcoholic Seedlip. Paired with the honey, lemon, pomegranate and beet, it makes for an equally delicious and earthy concoction.
At Mercado Little Spain, Sangria Hour is Monday through Thursday, from 3-6pm. There’s fruity spiced wine on tap, plus drafts of Vermút (Spanish vermouth)—both red and white— served with a splash of club soda. Forget to order some of those delicious tapas.
