The Best Things To Do In NYC this Fall Are at Hudson Yards

Backyard pickleball, big screen football, cinema under stars, fantastic florals, a harvest celebration and more!

Autumn is harvest time, so it’s fitting that there’s a cornucopia of exciting activities at Hudson Yards through the season. Many are free for everyone, some are for employees of companies in the neighborhood, and all are super fun. So how to decide what to do? We recommend that you add the following to your calendar if you love….

Fall Football

American football—both the NFL and college game—will command the actual Big Screen at Backyard more often than not, in particular Monday and Thursday evenings and weekend afternoons. Join your fellow fans and grab a seat for all the action.

Fall Flicks

Movie Nights are back in the Public Square & Garden through October. Get some candy from Dylan’s Candy Bar or Li-Lac Chocolates, then settle in for an Exclusive Screening: Stanley Tucci: Searching for Italy Premiere, The Wizard of Oz, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, The Goonies, Beetlejuice. You can find dates and showtimes here.

Fall Flexing

Power Hour gets a boost this October, with the debut of a pop-up pickleball court hosted by CityPickle in the Backyard at Hudson Yards. The court is free and open to all but reservations go quickly, so at the very least pop by to see what all the fuss is about and maybe snag some cool merch. Wells Fargo customers enjoy exclusive access to the 6PM – 7PM sunset time slot.

What’s that you say? You’re more of a spin person? No problem! SoulCycle’s studio on the Public Square & Gardens offers themed rides with upbeat music and the best instructors.

Fall Flowers

Fleurs de Villes returns to The Shops with a wow-worthy display of 12-feet tall floral mannequins in their latest show, FEMMES. The creations, by the city’s top florists, pay homage to remarkable women including Billie Holiday, Eleanor Roosevelt, Frida Kahlo, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, and Queen Elizabeth II. While here, take an interactive floral class in the Jardin or get a bouquet to take home from the pop-up market.

Fall Fashion

If you love shopping, you’ll adore what’s happening at The Shops, where the latest in fall fashion awaits your selective eye. Find of-the-moment trends, cool coats, cozy weekend wear, it bags and going-out-all-night-wear.

Fall “festing”

Employees of firms at Hudson Yards are invited to join their colleagues for a HarvestFest celebration on October 27th, from 6-8pm, in the Bosque on the Public Square & Gardens. Bronx Brewery will pour beers on tap, Ana Bar & Eatery is serving up bites and a DJ will spin tunes. It’s a perfect way to kick off the season.
