Tickets

We encourage booking in advance for your visit to the temporarily known as Vessel to ensure your preferred visit time.  

What is the cost of tickets?

We offer FREE admission to the Vessel. Click here to reserve your time. You must have a ticket to enter.  

How do timed tickets work?

Your admission is reserved for the entry time and date printed on the ticket. Arrive anytime within that hour and proceed to the Vessel entrance. We encourage you to reserve tickets online in advance here.

Can I reserve tickets on the same day of visit? 

Yes, tickets will be available on a first come, first served basis for available time slots online here, at one of our kiosks on the plaza, or from an Experience Ambassador when you arrive.

Are children under 4 years of age admitted for free?

Yes, admission for children under 4 years of age is free when accompanied by their parent or legal guardian.

Are tickets refundable?

Tickets are non-refundable.

Do I need to print my tickets?

No, we encourage mobile e-tickets, however feel free to print at home.

What if I lose or can’t print my tickets?

Please reprint your tickets from the original email sent to you at the time of purchase. If you are unable to locate or find your tickets, please see an Experience Ambassador at the Vessel on the day of your visit. The staff will be able to look up your order and print your tickets for you.

You will need to bring the following:

  • The credit card used to purchase tickets
  • Photo ID
  • If available, your email receipt or your order confirmation number

How do I make a reservation for a tour/travel group?

Your Visit

Created by Thomas Heatherwick and Heatherwick Studio – Hudson Yards presents a uniquely interactive experience, a monument meant to be climbed and explored. Comprised of 154 intricately interconnecting flights of stairs—almost 2,500 individual steps— and 80 landings, the centerpiece will literally lift up the public, offering a multitude of ways to engage with New York, Hudson Yards and each other. This larger-than-life interactive design piece will be New York City’s next public landmark.
 

How long does a typical visit take? Is there a time limit?

There are no time limits. You should allow at least 30 minutes for your visit, and more if you will be visiting other locations within Hudson Yards.


During peak visiting hours, especially in the warmer months, there may be sold out time slots. We encourage you to book in advance ensure your preferred time of visit.

Is the Vessel appropriate for all ages?

The Vessel is a climbable structure with many steps and landings and is open to weather conditions.  Please consider this prior to booking your tickets.  See the stroller policy below.

Is it accessible for a person with a disability?

The Vessel is accessible. Please contact us at [email protected] with any questions or requests for accommodations. Service animals are permitted at Hudson Yards Experiences. All other pets or animals are not permitted, without the appropriate documentation.

Can I bring my pet?

Only service dogs are allowed on the Vessel.

Are baby strollers allowed?

Strollers are not allowed, however there is a designated stroller parking nearby. Stroller parking is not monitored and Hudson Yards staff cannot be held responsible for any lost articles, so please hold on to any valuable personal belongings.

Can I bring food or drinks?
 

No outside food or drinks are allowed on the Vessel. Closed water bottles (no glass) are permitted.

Can we bring our luggage with us?

For security reasons, large bags and luggage are not permitted. Smaller bags are permitted and are subject to search upon entry. Management reserves the right at its discretion to require guests to check any items or articles considered unsuitable for the experience.  Hudson Yards reserves the right to refuse entry to any article at our discretion.  We do not have lockers or storage capabilities for your personal items. 

Can I take pictures or use my cell phone?  

Still photography is permitted for private, noncommercial use. Don’t forget to share and tag your photos with #hellohudsonyards.  

Photographs cannot be published, sold, reproduced, transferred, distributed, or otherwise commercially exploited in any manner whatsoever. Tripods and selfie sticks are not permitted.

Arrival

What if I show up late and miss my time slot?

Tickets are non-refundable and can only be exchanged prior to the date and time appearing on your ticket, and based on availability. If you are late, we will do our best to accommodate you in the next available time slot. 

What if I show up earlier than my time slot?

We encourage you to explore all that Hudson Yards has to offer until your ticketed time.

What happens if there is poor weather during my visit?

We are an all-weather experience. For on-site assistance, please speak with an Experience Ambassador.

After Your Visit

What if I lost something?

For lost items, email [email protected]. If you find items while visiting, please take them to the nearest Experience Ambassador. Unclaimed items will not be kept after 7 days.
