Public Square
The Public Square will provide a dramatic landscape destination and will play host to world-class art and events.
Designed by Nelson Byrd Woltz Landscape Architects, the Public Square is the heart of Hudson Yards’ new retail, residential, commercial and cultural destinations. A central plaza combines the grandeur of pleached trees, interactive water features and a monumental sculpture. The bold, seasonally expressive horticulture will dazzle New Yorkers throughout the year.

Cascading Fountain
A nearly one-acre walkable cascading fountain at the intersection of the plaza and Hudson Boulevard links the Shopping and Dining Destination with the Luxury Hotel in a grand welcoming gesture to the city. Sensational and inviting, the Public Square at Hudson Yards combines a memorable destination with opportunities for relaxation and repose.

Marquee Events
The Public Square, in collaboration with Culture Shed, will be programmed throughout the year. We anticipate hosting some of New York’s most memorable events:
